Falcons Lose: -

The OHSAA Football Playoffs heat up this Friday as the Graham Falcons (3-7) assemble to go head-to-head against the Greeneview Rams (10-0) in Jamestown. Both teams are ready for a thrilling showdown. While the Falcons  face Greeneview (Jamestown) this Friday night, this gritty Falcons team needed key wins down the stretch. What did that look like? A 3-1 record over the final four games, including an inspiring Homecoming victory over the Braves of Shawnee (1-9) and a crucial win over the Northwestern Warriors (6-4).

Sophomore Gage Stull (10), the Falcons’ quarterback, will lead the offense Friday after throwing for nearly 850 yards this season and compiling 9 touchdowns thrown. Another Sophomore, Danny Hoke (29) will help solidify the Falcons offensive attack; Hoke comes into postseason play with  605 yards on the ground and a 4.8 Yards Per Carry.

The defense will be led by two senior stalwarts, Kaden Marshall and Caden Strader. Marshall compiled 81 total tackles, 3.5 sacks, and 3 forced fumbles;  Strader put together 101 total tackles and 1.5 sacks while forcing 1 fumble and recovering 1.  The Falcons defensive tenacity that Marshall and Strader bring will be crucial in order to enact their dominance throughout the game Friday night and pull off the win.

There is no doubt this game will force teams to persevere using great teamwork on both sides of the ball, and the energy will be high as the Falcons return to the postseason after a 1-year hiatus.

Kickoff is set for 7pm on November 1st at the Rams stadium in Jamestown. The student section theme is school spirit, and this game is a must watch as the Falcons will fight for the win!

Tickets are available via OHSAA Website, where the address will also be found.

Boys Varsity Football vs. Mechanicsburg

Falcons Lose: 7.00 - 34.00

The Falcons traveled to Mechanicsburg (1-1) to take on the Indians Friday night, but they were also batting the heat. On a humid, mid-90 degree night, both teams knew executing on the little things and taking advantage when the opportunity arose was going to be key in garnering a much-needed week 2 win.

After a early 7-0 Mechanisburg lead, the Falcon's defense dug their feet in and Junior Izaiah Smith intercepted the 'Burg's Conley Bogard in the end zone, which swung the momentum back in the Falcon's favor. However, the 'Burg's defense mirrored the great play from the Falcon defense and stopped the Graham O and scored 13 unanswered points.

The highlight of the night for the Falcon's came with only seconds to go in the first half. Senior Adam Levy caught a screen pass from Sophomore Gage Stull and dashed for an 80-yard touchdown, making it 20-7; the play served as a key reminder to the team and its fans of the firepower the Falcon's possess on any given play.

While the Falcons fell 34-7 and fall to 0-2 overall, they'll look to rebound and achieve their first win of the year at Brookville (1-1) this Friday, September 6th. The Blue Devils are coming off a 46-20 loss to Anna last week, and will be hosting their first home game Friday when the Falcons come to town. Kick off is set for 7.
